Using Robots to Teach STEM Concepts

Prince William Sound College (PWSC) incorporates Carnegie Mellon’s (CM) Robotics Academy curriculum to teach dual enrollment and college courses where the robotics instruction is used as a vehicle to excite students about science and technology instruction by building student knowledge, skills, and abilities in STEM fields as well as teaching fundamentals of programming and engineering. As part of the project PWSC faculty will pass the curriculum on to K-12 teachers so that this robotics curriculum can be added into the curriculum for multiple grade levels.
