Challenger Learning Center of Alaska is located in Kenai, Alaska. Our mission is educating and inspiring the workforce of today and tomorrow. We achieve this by offering a variety of learning opportunities that immerse our students in STEM related activities focusing on broadening and refining their skills in collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and communication.

We are currently seeking an intern for summer 2020 to support the development of engaging STEM curriculum and to support student learning through the:

Tasks may include, and are not limited to:

  • Update and develop curriculum programs
  • Beta test youth programs
  • Technology inventory
  • Identifying needs and opportunities with current technology

As to skillset, we are looking for someone with a STEM background, and a strong interest in youth STEM education.

Students must be enrolled in an Alaskan institute of higher education to qualify, preferably in an Education or Engineering Program and must enjoy working with students and a passion for STEM work. Background check will be required. Internships will be conducted at the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska in Kenai. The Stipend is $5000, and students will be expected to work full-time for 10 weeks. Dates negotiable. No housing or transportation is provided.
