Submitted by dthorsen on Fri, 2012-04-06 14:29

Our Mission
To provide interdisciplinary engineering and science students with hands-on experience in all aspects of space systems engineering through a design, build, launch paradigm applied to balloon and rocket payloads and small satellites.

Goals of the Space Systems Engineering Program

Student Training - Provide students with opportunities for hands on experience with design, construction, testing and launch of complex systems from balloon and rocket payloads to small satellites.

Scientific Research - Develop low cost, student designed rocket payloads to investigate high latitude geophysical phenomena.

Collaborations with Industry and NASA - Provide a low cost test bed for verification of new flight hardware technology and development of internet tools for distributed project management.
